Gardener
Select Trial Garden
| The Gardener
Select trial garden was moved from PEEC in Dingmans Ferry to Remembrance
Place in Milford in an effort to gain greater public exposure. Master
Gardeners Carol Padalino and Carole Linkiewicz were assisted with
this program by Ed Haines, Elaine Haines, Beverly Bensley and her
4-H group, Marguerite Rickett, and also Monroe Master Gardener, Ed
Cron. Plants were available for review 24 hours a day throughout the
summer and early fall. Evaluations were conducted and forwarded to
PSU for statewide plant performance analysis and will also be reported
in the Pocono Commercial Horticulture Newsletter. This new garden
was supported by the Milford Garden Club and Pocono Master Gardeners,
and was so highly thought of locally that it was placed on the Milford
Secret Garden Tour this summer. Additionally, garden seminars and
presentations were provided to groups who visited Remembrance Place. |
