2002 marked the 100th anniversary of 4-H in America. Across the United States, celebrations were being held; Pike County was no exception. On Saturday, September 14, past and present 4-H members and cooperative extension supporters gathered to remember the past and celebrate future undertakings.

Square Dancing brought everyone together to have fun, awards were given to current volunteers and we recognized former 4-H members who had gathered to remember the good times they had as members as far back as the 1930’s.

As we enter a new year of Cooperative Extension we can only hope that we are as successful in reaching new clientele, teaching new skills and building on the groundwork that has been laid to date and has been so successful.
