Grotevant Receives National Award

Nancy Grotevant receives a Nittany Lion from
State PEAFCS President, Karen Thomas, Lackawanna
County, in recognition of her Distinguished Service Award

Nancy Grotevant, County Extension Director and Family Life Educator, was honored at the National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (NEAFCS) 2001 annual session. She received the Distinguished Service Award (DSA) and was recognized for her work in the area of caregiving issues. She has focused much of her programming efforts on eldercare and childcare issues, and has provided additional educational opportunities that support individuals and families across the life span.

The DSA is the highest award presented by the NEAFCS and recognizes members for leadership, outstanding program efforts and personal and professional development.
