2001 Annual Report
Pike County

Welcome to the Annual Report for Penn State Cooperative Extension in Pike County. We have spent the past year providing access to Penn State’s research-based information and expertise to the residents of Pike County. This was accomplished by using the Internet, satellite conferences, meetings, seminars, publications, newspapers and other media. Our goal was to deliver the information and education you needed…where you needed it…how you needed it.

Our programs continue to focus on the needs you identified in agriculture, horticulture, environmental issues, forest resource management, food safety, 4-H and youth development, community development, family life, nutrition, and health, along with many other topics.

I hope you enjoy reading about how the Pike County staff have extended our nonformal, outreach educational opportunities to the residents of Pike County. I encourage you to take the time, this coming year, to attend a program, contact us for information or view our website for information concerning your quality of life.

Sincerely,

Nancy E. Grotevant
County Extension Director
