Effective
Grant Writing for Non-Profit Organizations
|

|
A common misconception
in the grant writing process is that the actual grant proposal is
a major component of the grant seeking process. However, to be successful,
grant writing is a process that entails careful planning, research
and outreach as well as cultivating relationships. Effective Grant Writing
for Non-Profit Organizations, conducted by Extension Community
Development Agents Joann Kowalski and Peter Wulfhorst, provided
insight on how to get started: from developing a fundraising strategy,
using research tools and methods, to gathering necessary data and
assembling it into a winning grant proposal. Over 40 non-profit board members, staff and agency personnel attended the program, which was held September 26 at the Settler's Inn in Hawley. |
