CLUB CHATTER

Seeing Eye Puppy Club is looking for new members/families to join their club. As a member of the Seeing Eye Puppy Club, you will raise a very special puppy. If you would like more information about joining the Seeing Eye Puppy Club, contact the Extension Office at (570) 296-3400.

4-H Gardening Club is looking for new members/families to join their club. If you like being outdoors, working with your hands and making new friends, then this club is for you. Meetings are held the second Thursday of every month. For more information or to sign up, please call (570) 686-2686.

Puppy Points brought to us by The Seeing Eye, Inc.

  • On an 85 degree day the temperature inside your car with the windows slightly open will reach 102 in 10 minutes, 120 in 30 minutes! Therefore, you must never leave your pup in the car while you are out shopping for your summer shorts!
  • Don’t let your pup eat grass or plants. This is easier said than done—grass being very tasty to dogs—but it can cause vomiting and lead to severe gastritis. If the grass has been treated with insect or weed repellent, the effects are even worse.

The G.A.I.T. program will be holding a Line Dance on Aug. 14, 1999. The cost for this event is $10/ticket. Come join the fun. Many of our Pike County 4-H’ers are involved in this worthwhile cause. For more information, please call (570) 409-1140.

**If your club has something they would like to share, please call the Pike County Cooperative Extension Office at (570) 296-3400 and we will list it in the Club Chatter.

Exchanges - If you or your club is interested in an exchange, please contact the Office.
